AMHP (Approved Mental Health Professional)

Seven Social Care are looking for a Qualified AMHP to work with Hampshire County Council based in Havant. This position is paying up to £45 per hour. 

The Role:

  • Working within a multi-disciplinary environment to handle a case load of service user
  • Undertaking the appropriate tasks in assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of action or treatment. 
  • Seeking the modification of attitudes or behaviours where required or appropriate. 
  • Handling a complex caseload involving service users with more specialist expertise
  • Conducting Mental Health Act Assessments

Key Responsibilities:

  • The team do work within a Hybrid model and the expectation is that the team come into the office at least once a week (Wednesday minimum).
  • The team is subject to high demand but remains focused on delivery of excellent care and support. You will need to be resilient, effective team workers and able to operate autonomously. The case load will incorporate a range of community-based clients and inpatients and work will target Safeguarding, care act assessments and reviews as well as duty cover.

Hybrid Working Expectations

There is significant scope for working from home however there is an expectation that the applicant must be able to come to Office once a week (Wednesdays).

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by Social Work England. AMHp Accreditation 
  • Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
  • Compliance: Up to date SWE registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
