Anti Social Behaviour Officer

  • Salary: £15.63 - £16.46 per hour

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to work in Bournemouth. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £15.63 (PAYE) or £16.46 (umbrella) per hour. The working hours flexible and can be made to work around you but this is a full-time position. Hybrid working but predominantly from home.

The role:
To assist the Anti-Social Behaviour Team and Management in dealing with incidents of anti-social behaviour in accordance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Action cases of anti-social behaviour through investigation, witness support and case management in accordance with anti-social and neighbourhood management policies and procedures.
  • Assess anti-social behaviour incidents to determine and deliver appropriate interventions in accordance with anti-social behaviour policies and procedures.
  • To gather witness statements, evidence and formulate cases prior to instruction of legal services and to attend the Court where legal action is taken.
  • To promote inter-agency co-operation and partnership working by appropriate referral to and inclusion of partner agencies in resolving anti-social behaviour cases and neighbourhood issues.
  • To deal with enquiries and complaints from tenants.
  • Attend case conferences to determine the best course of action to address cases of anti-social behaviour.
  • To liaise and attend meetings, as required, with other business units within the Council and with outside agencies such as the Police, Shelter, LGO, Tenants’ Associations, etc.
  • To prepare reports for the Senior Anti-Social Behaviour Officer and other senior staff in respect of complex tenancy management issues and attend meetings if required.
  • To review and monitor anti-social behaviour cases against agreed targets.
  • The above duties and responsibilities will involve the use of new technology and equipment.
  • To promote community involvement in resolving anti-social behaviour cases by participating in resident meetings and working with residents to resolve cases.
  • Maintain and manage an appropriate caseload in accordance with anti-social behaviour procedures including acting as a professional witness and undertaking investigations.
  • To serve court orders, injunctions and notices as required.
  • To work outside of normal working hours when required.

  • To deal with enquiries and complaints from members of the public, other departments of the Council and the Police.
  • Attend case conferences to determine the best course of action to address cases of anti-social behaviour.
  • To liaise and attend meetings, as required, with other business units within the Council and with outside agencies such as the Police.
  • To prepare reports for the Anti-Social Behaviour Manager and other senior staff in respect of complex case issues and attend meetings if required.
  • To review and monitor anti-social behaviour cases against agreed targets.
  • The above duties and responsibilities will involve the use of technology and equipment.
  • To promote community involvement in resolving anti-social behaviour cases by participating in resident and area meetings and working with all partners to resolve cases and consider referrals for mediation or restorative justice.
  • Maintain and manage an appropriate caseload in accordance with anti-social behaviour procedures including acting as a professional witness and undertaking investigations.
  • To serve court orders, injunctions and notices as required.
  • To work outside of normal working hours when required.

 
Applicant Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK, 2 x references, and DBS dated within last 12 months or on update service.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
