Approved Mental Health Professional

Seven Social Care are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our team in Hillingdon. The ideal candidate will have an unwavering commitment to providing excellent mental health care and services to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing mental health assessments, interventions, and treatment plans for individuals experiencing mental health crises or ongoing issues.

2. Coordinating with a range of healthcare providers to ensure the individuals receive holistic care.

3. Conducting risk assessments and crisis interventions.

4. Ensuring the rights of service users are upheld as per the Mental Health Act.

5. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team, establishing and maintaining effective communication lines with peers, management, and healthcare professionals.

6. Recording and maintaining accurate, confidential patient records following appropriate legislation and guidelines.

Key Requirements:

1. Must be a qualified social worker, nurse, psychologist or psychiatrist and hold AMHP registration.

2. Proven experience in a similar role.

3. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.

4. Excellent report writing skills and ability to maintain detailed records.

5. High level of interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work effectively within a team and with a variety of other professionals.

6. Enhanced DBS check will be required.

7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays if required.
