Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)

Seven Social Care are looking for an AMHP to work in the Southeast Area of Hampshire, covering Gosport, Portchester, Wickham, Havant, Waterlooville, Hordean, Peterfield’s, Canfield, Liss, Bordon Office bast Havant Plaza.

This role is available with an immediate start and working 37 hours per week.

The payrate for this position is £45.00 an hour paid via an umbrella company.

You will need to be able to work proactively, understand and assess risk, put in safeguards to protect people. You will have monthly supervision and work within a supportive integrated team. It is essential that those recruited have a good understanding of the application of the Care Act, the Mental Health Act, the London Multi Agency Safeguarding Adults Procedures, the Mental Capacity Act and experience of the application of the ethos and values of “Making Safeguarding Personal”.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Working within a multi-disciplinary environment to handle a case load of service user
• Undertaking the appropriate tasks in assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of action or treatment. 
• Seeking the modification of attitudes or behaviours where required or appropriate. 
• Handling a complex caseload involving service users with more specialist expertise
• Conducting Mental Health Act Assessments

Qualifications & Experience

• HCPC Registered Degree in Social Work
• AMHP Qualification
• Statutory experience as a Social Worker in a mental health service
• Current registration to practice with SWE
• Full Driving Licence
