Assessment And Intervention Senior Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are looking for a passionate, experienced, and committed Assessment and Intervention Senior Social Worker to join our team in Oldbury, UK.

Responsibilities:

1. To oversee and facilitate comprehensive assessment of families based on identified risks and protective factors, leading to the formulation of care plans.

2. To work in collaboration with a range of professionals and organizations to meet the needs of children, young people and their families.

3. To provide expert advice and support in relation to child protection work, including making recommendations about the directions of complex cases.

4. To provide specialized risk assessments and intervention strategies for children and families in crisis.

5. Oversee the implementation of care plans ensuring they are comprehensively delivered and reviewed.

6. To provide direct therapeutic intervention as required, including group work, family therapy and evidence-based models of individual therapy.

7. To offer mentoring and consultation to less experienced social workers in the team, promoting their development and the provision of a quality service.

8. Regular reporting and documentation of case progress.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.

2. Registered with the Social Work England.

3. A thorough knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory guidance is a must.

4. Proven experience working in a social work setting, including undertaking assessments, producing reports and attending court when required.

5. Exceptional skills in forming effective working relationships with children, families, carers and other professionals.

6. Excellent decision making, assessment skills and able to manage complex cases effectively.

7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

8. A clear DBS check.
