Assistant Waste Sites Supervisor

Seven Resourcing is working with Leicestershire County Council to recruit a locum Assistant Waste Supervisor.

Pay is £10.39 – £12 per hour PAYE or £12.62 – £14.29 per hour for Umbrella.

THIS IS A LOCUM ROLE NOT PERMANENT, however There are opportunities to progress, if you want to and this

could include:

– A technical or more senior supervisory role with

salaries of £22,000 to circa £25,000 per annum

Job Purpose:

To support and assist the Managers, Area Supervisors,

and operational staff in delivering services at all

Leicestershire’s RHWS.

– To assist in ensuring that services are delivered for the

benefit of the people of Leicestershire.

– To maintain positive and co-operative working

relationships with customers and colleagues within the

team and across the service.

– To assist in ensuring RHWS activities are delivered in the

most efficient and effective manner possible.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervision of employees in the waste management industry

or similar workplace.

Working in accordance with Health and Safety,

Environmental and Quality Management systems in the

waste management industry.

Onsite waste operations.

Working in accordance with Health and Safety,

Environmental and Quality Management systems in the

waste management industry.

Conduct documented RHWS inspections for Health & Safety,

Environmental, Quality and Security issues.

Staff training and development.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Waste legislation

    – Waste site operations/inspections and environmental

    maintenance / compliance

    – Maintaining stock records, stock management and

    replenishing new stock as and when required.

    – Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory

    Board (WAMITAB) Certificate of Technical Competence

    (CoTC) Level 4 (or ability and willing to work towards or

    working towards)

  • Experience: Similar experience
  • Compliance: Updated Passport and Drivers Licence
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
