Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner (Social Worker)

Seven Social Care are seeking to recruit a dedicated and skilled Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner (Social Worker) for our team in London Wall, UK. The successful candidate will be key in providing high-quality mental health support to our clients by employing a variety of therapeutic interventions and community support programmes.

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out comprehensive assessments and implement a care plan to service users with complex mental health needs.

2. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop service users’ care plans and manage the risk.

3. Participate in regular supervision, multi-disciplinary team meetings, and statutory review meetings.

4. Ensure service users’ mental health and well-being are promoted and safeguarded, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

5. Maintain accurate service user records, ensuring confidential information is stored securely in line with GDPR regulations.

6. Provide counseling and cognitive-behavioral therapy to service users and their families when required.

7. Effectively use crisis intervention techniques to support service users in times of acute mental distress.

Qualifications/Education:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work 2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Experience/Skills:

1. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within mental health services.

2. Proven experience in handling cases of various complexities.

3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Strong understanding of mental health laws.

5. Experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy and other therapeutic interventions.

6. Capability to handle stressful situations with empathy and resilience.
