Building Surveyor

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Building Surveyor to work in Gloucester. This position is initially for a period of 3-6 months and is paying £27.00 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options are available).

The role:

GCC owns and manages a diverse range of properties within the city of Gloucester. These properties range from historic listed buildings, public buildings and car parks.

GCC are seeking a knowledgeable building professional to assist in the provision of repairs and maintenance services to numerous buildings, car parks and open spaces

Working as a part of the asset management team the individual will provide a building surveying service to assist in the ongoing maintenance, ensuring building compliance, and contributing to the ongoing asset planning process.

The candidate will be working in support of the Building Surveying Manager across a wide range of works, and provide support to other members of the team

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: A degree within a relevant field.
• Experience: Good technical knowledge across a range of building types to enable the diagnosis of building defects, and preparation of specifications and schedules of work. Experience in JCT forms of contract, and in the preparation of contract documents for procurement purposes.
• Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and 2 x references.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
