Business Manager – Adult Social Care

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Business Manager to work with the Adult Social Care Team in Sunderland. This position is for an initial period of 24 months and is paying £18.32 – £22.54 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options are available).

The role:

Develop strategic evidence-based approaches to the delivery of Adult Social Care based services.

Play a key role as part of the working group within the Business Development Team in supporting the service area in relation to the scheduled Care Quality Commission (CQC) assurance framework.

Achievement and delivery of objectives as identified within City Plan and Adult Social Care Plans.

Develop and implement service improvement activity.

Manage performance, resource and delivery issues.

Lead on quality assurance frameworks information that will inform and provide assurance to Senior Managers and Elected Members on the quality of provision and service delivery across Adult Social Care as directed by the Head of Business Development.

Key Responsibilities:

      The provision of high-quality support to teams across Adult Social Care , ensuring that there are effective and efficient processes in place to support high quality delivery of services.

Act as the lead link between Adult Social Care and key Council services, partners, community leaders, organisations, policy institutes, civil servants and central government management, ensuring business needs are accurately identified, monitored and prioritised and are completed on time to the standards required of the service.

Lead on the development, implementation and maintenance of effective business processes, systems, plans and policies in line with best practice across Adult Social Care , ensuring they are regularly monitored and updated, and sharing ideas and improvements across the Directorate, City Plan, Service Plans and Business as usual activity.

Support the development, implementation and maintenance of effective systems including digital opportunities to maximise efficiency within the service ensuring the maximisation of data gathered, recorded, reported and analysed alongside supporting functions within the Directorate.

Monitor, develop and maintain knowledge in accordance with national legislation and policy, economic institutes, developed systems, statutory procedures, corporate standards and policies in relation to Adult Social Care ensuring this is considered and used by services appropriately.

Identify, monitor and develop creative solutions to issues as they develop across Adult Social Care with regard to practice, policy and performance including the development and implementation of required Directorate objectives and/or projects, identifying areas for further action and ensuring the practical steps needed to deliver them are identified and achieved.

Support Senior Managers across Adult Social Care in the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of work programmes, projects related to innovation, service and performance improvement work to deliver improved outcomes as required to meet the needs of the communities and City.

Develop and maintain effective processes that support Senior Managers across Adult Social Care with collation of information and data in order to identify and set performance measures and indicators.

Supporting Senior Managers across Adult Social Care with development, interpretation and analysis of data and performance locally and nationally linked to delivery of projects, service and City plans.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: 2 x references and proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
