Business Support Assistant

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Business Support Assistant to work within the Council’s Business Support Team in Children’s Services,  Sunderland Council. This is a full time position, and we are paying £14.79 per hour for this role. 

The role:

The purpose of the role is to provide minute taking support for statutory meetings within our busy Assessment and Intervention & Safeguarding and Care Planning Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to children’s services, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
• Input and extract information from databases and management systems as required.
• Generate reports and assist in data analysis for decision-making purposes.
• Handle incoming calls and emails, providing information or redirecting inquiries as necessary.
• Draft and proofread correspondence, reports, and other documents as assigned.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events.
• Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
• Ensure that documents are appropriately filed, archived, and easily retrievable.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.

  Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience

• Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
• Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37 hours p/w.
