Care & Support Worker

Seven Social Care are currently recruiting for a Care and Support Worker to start a new role in Widnes, Halton.  

You will be responsible for supporting residents in their daily lives from washing and dressing to eating meals and moving around safely.  You will take part in activities within the home and will be part of a supportive lively team who work together to help each other.

There are a range of working hours and rotas available to meet the needs of services.

This is a full time temporary role initially for 3 months with the view to extending.

Responsibilities

To provide appropriate physical, emotional, or intellectual support to people using services that will enable them to fulfil their aspirations as determined through the individual care and support planning process. This will include planned and unplanned care including responding to attendant call systems

To provide appropriate support that ensures that the dignity and privacy of each individual is promoted at all times, and that maximises the potential of each individual to live as independently as they are able to.

To attend to the personal care needs of individuals as outlined in individual care plans. This includes assistance, support, encouragement and undertaking washing, dressing, grooming, continence care and associated manual handling procedures to enable such care to be delivered.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience:  Experience of providing care and / or support to vulnerable adults

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2   

Compliance:  Enhanced DBS, Right to Work in the UK

Hours:  37 hours a week – range of working hours and rotas available

Travel: Able to travel to meet the needs of service users and the service
