Carelink Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for an Homeline Care Link Officer to work in Flintshire . This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying between £12.02ph PAYE or £14.62ph Umbrella.  This role is full time Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

The role:
To provide an efficient dispersed alarm service.  To further expand this service to enable independent living, improving home security  and support partnership working between housing, health and social care. To evaluate the introduction of smart technology and where it can be most effectively used.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment’s and Installations
  • To undertake comprehensive assessments and oversee assessments by staff when they undertake assessments on my behalf of clients within their own built-in environment. Carry out risk assessments and identify work required to facilitate installation.
  • Configure various types of alarms and their peripherals ready for installation. To liaise with various statutory agencies to enable installation, then install or organise the installation of dispersed alarm units and the completion of contracts. Oversee the installation and maintenance of dispersed alarm units in the east division mini-schemes whereby Relief Wardens carry out the work.
  • Technical expertise
  • Smart technology/ Telecare is a means by which care, and support can be provided through telecommunications technologies in the home. It employs sensors and automated devices that enable the wellbeing of the client to be monitored. These alarms have to be assessed for their efficiency and suitability for individual clients and their conditions.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve problems with regard to the alarm equipment.
  • Finance
  • Creation of contracts, plus calculation and monitoring of specialised accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Oversee the input of data by Housing Finance and the issue of quarterly accounts generating over £100,000.
  • Consult with management within the Treasurers and Housing Finance departments to discuss changes to improve the processing of the accounts and to implement those changes.
  • Lease with the Treasurers dept regarding collection of debts, advise of and correct problems encountered relating to the issue of Care Link accounts.
  • Organisation and Evaluation
  • Obtain , maintain, and develop comprehensive records of client data, client contracts and accounts ensuring procedures comply with the Data Protection Act.
  • Organise the issue of customer satisfaction surveys to private clients and respond to any queries raised thereby monitoring customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery.
  • Order new stock and monitor stock control, organise the return of faulty stock to the manufacturers.
  • Organise a battery exchange programme and the replacement of older units .
  • Publicity
  • Organise the publicity of Care Link services by attending information fayres.
  • Presentations to other professionals in relation to private sector clients.
  • Organise the production of promotional material and liaise with various advertising agencies. Arrange the distribution of Care Link leaflets throughout Flintshire.
  • Network with statutory and non-statutory agencies in the promotion of Care Link and signpost clients as and when required.
  • Training
  • Advise and train the relief wardens with regard to dispersed alarm units, and in the assessment of clients, installation of alarms and the completion of contracts, also in the configuration of alarm units and pendants.
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness of alarms to students on training placements with Care Link. Inform them about the role of dispersed alarms in the community to increase awareness of assistive technology enabling independent living within the private sector.

Applicant Requirements:
Experience: 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Compliance: 3 years references.
Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: 37 hours p/w.
