Child Care Support Worker

Seven Social Care are currently recruiting for a Child Care Support Worker to start a new role in Caerphilly.   

You will work on the child care locality team which supports children and their families to have safe and appropriate supervised family time in accordance with their individual care plans.

This is initially a 5 month contract with the view of extending.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support as part of the care and support plan based on assessed need of children and young people including children and young people who are Looked After, or who may be the subject of other statutory or court related order(s).

Undertake assessments of children and young people in need of care and support, where required, under the direction of a team manager, or senior practitioner.

Represent the authority and liaise with partner agencies both statutory and voluntary in the provision of services for children, young people, and their families.

Contribute to Service Development initiatives.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience:  Experience of working with children, young people and their families.

Qualifications:  Level 2 Care or equivalent qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW).

Compliance:  Enhanced DBS, Right to Work in the UK

Hours:  37 hours a week

Travel:  Full UK driving license and access to your own car (essential)
