Child in Need Qualified Social Worker

Seven Social Care are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Child in Need (CIN) Qualified Social Worker to join our vibrant team in Leicester. The role demands a high level of commitment, empathy and understanding towards the children in need and their families. Responsibilities:

1. Manage and supervise a caseload of children and families identified to be in need of support and assistance.

2. Conduct thorough, accurate assessments of children referred as potentially in need, their families and wider circumstances, formulating support plans based on these assessments.

3. Collaborate closely with families, building trusting relationships aimed at aiding with the successful implementation of support plans.

4. Liaise coherently and efficiently with other agencies as part of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective delivery of support services.

5. Advocate on behalf of the children and families, actively seeking resources or services that may not be readily accessible.

6. Conduct regular reviews of the ongoing need for services and progress against the support plans.

7. Ensure all actions align with legal and statutory requirements, work closely within the remit set by child protection legislation and policies.

8. Provide detailed, accurate case records in a timely manner and attend legal proceedings when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. A recognized Social Work Qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW).

2. Must be a registered social worker with Social Work England.

3. A minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience as a Social Worker in a Child Protection team or Looked after Children team.

4. A comprehensive understanding of the Children Act 1989 and all associated legislation, and an ability to apply them practically.

5. Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

7. Must possess a valid driving license for the UK.
