Child Protection and Court SSW

Seven Health & Social Care are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Child Protection and Court Specialist Social Worker in Oldbury, United Kingdom. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of social care law, children’s rights, and an unwavering commitment to child protection.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments related to child safety and relay findings and recommendations to the respective bodies.

2. Represent the agency in court, preparing and presenting reports and providing evidence as required.

3. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with children, families and other professionals ensuring appropriate challenge when necessary.

4. Provide in-depth case analysis, delivering high-quality child-focused assessments within required timeframes.

5. Offer support and advice to families and relevant stakeholders, aiming to promote the wellbeing and safety of all children involved.

6. Work collaboratively with other agencies, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to all cases.

Requirements:

1. Possess a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW).

2. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. A significant amount of post-qualification experience within Child Protection and Court Work.

4. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislations and policies.

5. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.

6. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
