Seven Social Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Child Protection Social Worker to join our team in Warwickshire

As a Child Protection Social Worker, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and their families in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

The rate of pay for this role is £30.57 – £33.30 per hour.

Key responsibilities will include:

– Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to address child protection concerns and complex social issues.

– Complete thorough risk assessments and devise safety plans.

– Implement strategies for protection and organise suitable care arrangements if children have been harmed.

– Develop service plans, conduct regular reviews and update case files accurately and timely ensuring compliance with local authority and legislative requirements.

– Work alongside families and coordinate with various agencies to provide children with the required support.

– Provide counselling and guidance to children and their families.

– Participate in regular training, supervision, and staff meetings.

– Respond to emergency situations and crisis intervention.

Requirements:

– A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England

– Significant post-qualifying experience as a Children’s Social Worker, including Child Protection and Court work

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, professionals and service users

– Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures related to social work practice, including safeguarding and child protection

– The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing demands

– A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
