Child Protection Social Worker

Seven Social Care are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Child Protection Social Worker to strengthen our team in Coalville, UK. This professional will be responsible for protecting children who are at risk of abuse or neglect whilst supporting them along with their families.

Responsibilities:

1. A comprehensive assessment of children and families to identify needs and risks.

2. Develop and implement child protection plans effectively.

3. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies for early interventions and support.

4. Prepare and present reports for case conference reviews, court proceedings, and child protection hearings.

5. Provide guidance to children, young people, and families to promote safety, physical health, mental health, and emotional wellbeing.

6. Commit to continuous professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding child protective legislation, policies, and practices.

7. Maintain accurate and timely records following organisational and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work/DipSW or equivalent).

2. Must be registered with Social Work England.

3. Significant experience in child protection services, with a proven track record of making sound judgments in high-pressure situations.

4. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to better the situation of children and families.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.

6. Detailed understanding and knowledge of UK law relating to children and families.

7. Enhanced DBS Check is essential.
