Child Protection Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are currently seeking a highly professional, dedicated Child Protection Social Worker to join our team in Warwick. If you have passion for protection and the improvement of children’s lives, then this position is for you.

Your Responsibilities:

– Ensure the welfare and safety of children in Warwick through casework.

– Conduct risk assessments and create plans to ensure the safety and welfare of children while meeting appropriate legislation and policies.

– Develop effective relationships with children, their families, and other partners to aid in assessing and acting on child welfare concerns.

– Prepare accurate reports, care plans and court papers as and when necessary and accurately maintain case notes.

– Participate in multi-agency forums, contributing a social work perspective to facilitate the resolution of complex cases.

– Provide support to children and families, connecting them to appropriate resources, programs, and community agencies.

– Regularly review, record and report on the progress of the plans to ensure improvements in the child’s circumstances.

Your Qualifications and Experience:

– A degree in Social Work along with registration as a social worker with Social Work England.

– Significant post-qualifying experience as a children’s social worker, ideally within a child protection setting.

– Experience in working with children on the Child Protection Plan, Looked After Children, and Children in Need.

– Proficiency in understanding and applying current legislation, policy, and procedure to safeguarding children.

– Clear ability to assess risk and protective factors.

Your Skills:

– Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children and their families.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

– Proficiency in dealing with sensitive situations with professionalism.

– Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.

– Good decision-making skills with a focus on the welfare of the child.
