Child Protetion Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Protection Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Leicester, UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and families, have sound decision-making skills, and possess an empathetic and professional manner to handle sensitive situations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct assessments on children and families to determine risk and need for intervention.

2. Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with families.

3. Closely work with multi-agency professionals to ensure coordinated support and protection for children.

4. Make referrals to relevant services to help families deal with issues that are impacting a child’s welfare.

5. Manage a complex caseload while ensuring all paperwork, reports, and care plans are kept accurate and up to date.

6. Provide evidence in court when required while ensuring the wellbeing of the child is utmost.

7. Continually reassess ongoing cases to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or above in Social Work.

2. Valid registration with Social Work England.

3. Experience working within Child Protection services and handling complex cases.

4. Excellent knowledge of child protection legislation in the UK.

5. Robust understanding of Safeguarding protocols and procedures.

6. Skilled in multi-agency partnership working.

1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

2. Ability to manage stress and make difficult decisions.

3. Empathetic and respectful of all clients.

4. Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.

5. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and trust.

6. Possession of a clear DBS check.

The successful candidate will be joining a supportive network of social care professionals and will have the benefit of continuous professional development opportunities. It is essential that the successful candidate possesses a driving license and has access to a car to travel to visits.
