Children and Families Support Worker

Seven Social Care is looking for a Children and Families Support Worker start a new role in Bolton. This is initially a temporary post for 3 months with the possibility of placement extension.

The role:

To support disabled children and their families through the provision of personal and practical support and care both in the child’s own home and in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide practical and personal support to families of disabled children as directed.

To assist in planned activities designed to meet the developmental or therapeutic needs of disabled children.

To monitor and record contact with the service users.

To take part in meetings and reviews as necessary and to provide the appropriate information.

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: Two years’ experience in supporting disabled children in domestic, social care or school setting.

Qualifications: QCF/NVQ 2 in care.

Compliance: Up to date enhanced DBS on the update service, Right to work in the UK.

Hours: Part time 20 hours a week and includes weekend work on a rota basis

Travel: Hold a Full UK driving license and have regular use of a car
