Children in Care Qualified Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a committed and dynamic Children in Care Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Leicester, UK. The ideal candidate will assist in promoting the wellbeing of children in need or at risk of harm by providing high-quality social work practices.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Carry out thorough assessments of the child’s needs, views, and circumstances and accurately analyse associated risks.

2. Develop, implement, and review care plans that are child-focused, clear, outcome specific, and includes a contingency plan.

3. Establish, monitor, and review safeguards for children and young people.

4. Consistently deliver high-quality and effective social work services.

5. Collaborate with colleagues from a variety of disciplinary teams to meet the child’s needs.

6. Participate in supervision, training, and team meetings as required, contributing thoughts, ideas, and constructive feedback.

7. Maintain accurate, concise, and timely records of all casework, following departmental policy and legislation.

8. Manage a workload of cases which may include some of the most complex and sensitive in the service.

**Requirements:**

1. A Degree in Social Work.

2. Registration with the Social Work England.

3. Demonstrable post-qualification experience within child protection services.

4. A thorough understanding of social work legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004.

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

6. Ability to handle and manage crisis situations.

7. Excellent team working skills with the ability to work proficiently on one’s own initiative.

8. Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

9. Current DBS clearance.

10. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
