Children’s Home Deputy Manager

Seven Resourcing, a dedicated and committed recruitment agency, presents an excellent permanent opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join a Children’s home in Ipswich on a full-time basis.

The salary for this permanent Deputy Manager role is up to £40,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and management of an Ofsted regulated residential provision on behalf of the Registered Manager
  • Ensure the highest standards of emotional, social, and physical care, promoting optimal outcomes for young people through research, development, and partnerships
  • Develop and deliver highly motivated leadership and development to the team, demonstrating best practices
  • Maximise resources within planned timescales to deliver services respecting children’s rights and participation
  • Work to ensure compliance with Ofsted registration and the home’s Statement of Purpose
  • Act promptly on safeguarding risks and maintain effective communication with agencies and internal reports

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or willingness to undertake
  • Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within Children’s residential care
  • Demonstrable leadership skills
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
