Children’s Occupational Therapist

Seven Health & Social Crae is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Children’s Occupational Therapist in Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity to offer exceptional therapy services to children in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Assessing the physical, psychological and social needs of children and planning individualized treatment.

2. Demonstrating and instilling exercises and activities that help children to learn and develop.

3. Providing therapeutic activities designed to improve a child’s functional abilities in their daily lives.

4. Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic treatment plan.

5. Implementing suitable treatment plans for children with a range of physical or mental conditions.

6. Regularly documenting children’s progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

7. Maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment to concluding therapy sessions.

8. Contributing and working cohesively as part of a multidisciplinary team. 

Qualification & Skills Required:

1. A degree or postgraduate diploma in Occupational Therapy.

2. Professionally registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. Comprehensive knowledge and practice of therapeutic activities for children.

4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Previous experience in paediatric occupational therapy is highly desirable.

6. A thorough understanding of child development and the impact of disability or illness on a child’s daily life.

7. Good organization and administrative skills.

8. A compassionate, patient and dedicated attitude towards children.
