Childrens Residential Care Worker

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Children Residential Care Worker to work within Darlington Council. This is a full time position, and we are paying £21.20 per hour for this role, £51.48 for Sleep-ins.
The role:
As a Children’s Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and care to children and young people living in a residential care setting. This role involves creating a safe and nurturing environment, offering emotional support, and assisting with daily activities and routines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and social needs of children in care are met, adhering to care plans and safeguarding procedures.
- Assist with daily activities such as meal times, bedtime routines, and personal hygiene, maintaining a structured and supportive environment.
- Offer guidance and emotional support to children and young people, promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques when needed, promoting positive behaviours and boundaries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and care plans.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care and support for children.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Compliance: Current Standard DBS check.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37 hours p/w.
