Children’s Service Systems ICT Coach

Seven Resourcing is working with Solihull Council to recruit a Children’s Service Systems Coach for their Children’s Improvement & Partnerships Department.

ICT Specialist needed for Childrens ICT system – Liquid Logic. Laptop will be provided.

Job Title: Social Care Systems Coach – Band E £17.53 to £20.47

Job Basis: 9 month placement

Hours: 37

Hybrid Working – 1 day per week required in the office

Applications are invited for an exciting opportunity for a 9 month secondment / development opportunity for the post of Social Care Systems Coach within the Social Care Systems Management Team. 

This post requires the postholder to have expert knowledge of Liquidlogic in both LCS and EHM. 

Duties:

1.    To design and deliver training and coaching for the use EHM/LCS systems to meet the needs of the social care workforce, including partners which champion good use of the system and promote a consistent approach to using the new areas of the system. 

2.    Develop and review practice guides, training schedules and courses to incorporate new system and business processes.  

3.    Review and develop training provision either in classroom settings or through eLearning and user manuals and quick reference guides. 

4.    To arrange and coordinate training events and manage or oversee related administration such as booking venues, training providers and correspondence with delegates and their managers. 

5.    To evaluate and analyse the effectiveness of learning experiences to continually improve training, the learning experience and working practice.

6.    To contribute to the testing of the LCS/EHM systems to meet operational and statutory requirements.

7.    To contribute to delivery and monitoring of learning and development interventions as appropriate to respond to service need.  

8.    Lead, plan, implement and monitor annual programmes of training relating to LCS/EHM systems, agree priorities for these programmes with senior managers, stakeholders and customers. Maintaining close liaison and cooperation with ICT and Training & Development. 

9.    Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the systems’ capabilities and limitations to support the delivery of training to end users.  

10.    Ensure training needs are understood and that training is made available to staff that require it in a timely manner.

11.    To undertake quality assurance audits of end users use of the system and provide coaching and mentoring to users to ensure optimum efficiency is achieved.

12.    Develop and maintain end user training plans. 

13.    To have an understanding service areas business processes and practitioner/end user’s job role within either adults or children’s social care to support the delivery of training.

14.    Ensure that the knowledge of the Liquidlogic Leaders is maintained in line with processes changes. 

15.    Support the development of business processes and procedures. 

16.    Advise senior managers and Directors of the training requirements that arise from changes to business process changes and organisational restructuring. 

17.    Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the systems’ capabilities.

18.    Undertake social care assessments and reviews to maintain operational and practice knowledge and experience. 

19.    To provide support to the LL Children’s Systems Manager in the development and testing of social care systems. 

20.    Any other duties and responsibilities within the range of the salary grade.

Qualification:

A social care related degree and / or substantial social care practitioner experience.  

NVQ 3 in Health or Social Care or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject and equivalent 

The ability to demonstrate, through extended experience the necessary knowledge to carry out the full range of duties.

Experience:

Experienced user of LiquidLogic 

Expert knowledge of Social Care Information Systems.

Experience of successfully delivering learning and development interventions.

Experience of development, design, delivery and evaluation of learning interventions

Knowledge of current policy and practice relating to social care, local government and partnership working.

Demonstrable experience of undertaking social care assessments and reviews.

Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence.

Competence in a range of Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote.

Ability to provide an innovative and analytical approach to solving problems

Ability to make judgments and decisions independently where appropriate and know when to involve others

Ability to communicate with and influence a wide range of people including leadership level and across organisational boundaries (across the health and social care economy).

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of different roles

Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload in order to meet the needs of the service; seeks clarification where necessary; uses a systematic approach to make best use of time
