Children’s Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Social Worker in Dudley to join our growing team. You’ll contribute significantly to the welfare of children and families within the community by offering professional and comprehensive support, safeguarding children and promoting their well-being.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Engage with children, young people, and their families to assess their needs and develop appropriate action plans for support.

2. Implement Child Protection and Child in Need plans, working alongside partner agencies where necessary.

3. Provide professional, high-quality social work services for children, young people, and their families.

4. Analyze and evaluate information to provide reports and make recommendations for action.

5. Participate in team meetings, contributing to the sharing of knowledge and understanding of relevant factors impacting on the welfare and safeguarding of children.

6. Accomplish court orders and procedures including the presentation of reports and attending hearings.

7. Promote child development and well-being, working in partnership with parents and other professionals to protect children and young people from harm and to ensure access to appropriate services.

Qualifications:

1. Degree or equivalent in Social Work.

2. Current registration with the Social Work England.

3. Significant post-qualification experience in child protection and court work.

4. An understanding and experience of working with Equality and Diversity Policy.

5. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capability of maintaining solid relationships with various stakeholders including children, families, and partner agencies.

6. Comprehensive understanding of the legislative and policy framework within which social workers operate.
