Children’s Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Social Worker to join our team in Nottingham. This role will involve working directly with children, young people, and their families in a variety of settings, offering help and guidance to promote the safety and wellbeing of the child.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough assessments to determine the needs, circumstances, capacities, strengths and desires of children, young individuals and their families.

2. Develop, implement, and review plans for child protection and care.

3. Attend meetings, case conferences, court hearings and provide expert advice as needed.

4. Interact directly with clients, providing emotional support and reassurance.

5. Work across multiple agencies in the childcare sector including healthcare professionals, educational staff and the legal system.

6. Respond acutely to crisis situations where children may be at risk.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is essential.

2. Fully qualified and registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. Previous experience managing a complex caseload, including appropriate and focused work with children and young people in a variety of circumstances.

4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

5. Understanding and commitment to the principles of children’s rights, protection, welfare and safeguarding.

6. Ability to work flexibly including evenings and possibly some weekends.

7. Strong commitment to your personal and professional development.
