Children’s Social Worker

Seven Health & Social Care are seeking a qualified, compassionate, and dedicated Children’s Social Worker to join our team in Mansfield, UK. The candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the rights and welfare of children who are in challenging situations.

Responsibilities:

1. Working closely with families, schools, and relevant community services to develop and implement support plans for children in need or at risk.

2. Conducting risk assessments, and planning, managing, and reviewing care plans.

3. Providing testimony in court cases related to child protection issues when necessary.

4. Liaising with other professional services such as health and educational sectors to best support children and their families.

5. Responding to new information or circumstances pertinent to a child’s welfare as they arise.

6. Participation in supervision, team meetings, and further training to stay updated with practices and procedures within the children services sector.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field from an accredited institution.

2. Registration with the UK’s Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

3. Previous experience working with children and families, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds.

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

5. Ability to act with patience, sensitivity, and resilience in challenging situations.

6. Strong commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.

7. Proficient report writing skills.

8. A clean driving license may be advantageous due to travel between visits.
