Children’s Social Worker

Seven Social Care are seeking a qualified, skilled and empathetic Children’s Social Worker to join our dedicated team in Bournemouth, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and young people, carrying out assessments and developing plans to ensure the child’s safety and their developmental needs are met within their families and communities.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Carrying out assessments of children’s needs, considering social, behavioural, and health issues, and providing informed reports.

2. Working collaboratively with families, co-workers, and other professionals to develop meaningful intervention strategies.

3. Regularly monitoring and evaluating the progress and effectiveness of action plans.

4. Providing professional help, advice and support to families to safeguard children and improve their outcomes.

5. Participating in multidisciplinary teams and meetings to achieve established goals.

6. Preparing detailed reports for case reviews and court proceedings.

7. Ensuring that all services are delivered in accordance with UK law and the standards set by the local authority.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.

2. Previous experience working with children and families in a social work setting.

3. Comprehensive understanding of child protection legislation and procedures.

4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

5. An ability to write clear and concise reports.

6. Must have and maintain a valid driving license.

7. Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

8. Be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and possibly weekends as required.
