Children’s Social Worker 5 years + PEQ

Seven Social Care are seeking a passionate and highly experienced Children’s Social Worker with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience (PEQ) to join our dedicated team in Greenwich. The successful candidate will be working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment to provide the highest level of support and services to children and families within the local community.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs and strengths of children and families.

2. Develop, implement, and review care plans in order to achieve optimal results for the children and families.

3. Provide counseling and therapeutic support to children facing various challenges.

4. Work collaboratively with other professionals such as teachers, healthcare providers, and psychologists.

5. Ensure that children and young people are safeguarded from harm and that their welfare is promoted in accordance with local protocols and legislation.

6. Conduct regular home visits and case reviews to monitor progress and ensure adherence to care plans.

7. Advocate for resources and services for children and their families.

8. Prepare detailed reports for case reviews, legal proceedings, and multi-agency meetings.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work.

2. A minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably working with children and families.

3. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

4. Strong knowledge of child development and child protection legislation.

5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

6. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if required.

7. The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
