Children’s Social Worker

Seven Social Care is looking for locum Qualified Social Workers to work in Children’s Services across the Buckinghamshire area. Buckinghamshire have council offices in Aylesbury, High Wycombe, and Amersham.

The role:

You will receive a caseload of approximately 25 and a commitment from Buckinghamshire that as staff join the teams, the council will look to reduce the caseloads appropriately. In the Help & Protection teams (CIN/CP/COURT) you will get a mix of cases and your caseload should look like 2/3rd Child in Need cases, 1/3rd Child Protection cases. There are Separate Court teams so you will only deal with cases that progress to public proceedings. All social workers will have a line manager who maintains oversight of the cases and provides regular professional supervision. Buckinghamshire will provide all necessary equipment to undertake your role – mobile phone, solo protect for security, laptop and mobile access. Buckinghamshire’s offer of training is available to all workers including their agency workers. This is an excellent opportunity to ensure you are on track with your CPD.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

Degree in Social Work

Experience: 2+ years working as a Qualified Social Worker in the UK, plus successful completion of ASYE

Compliance: RTW in the UK with no restrictions

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37 hours p/w.
