Childrens Social Worker Safeguarding Team

Seven Social Care are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Devizes, UK. The selected candidate will be responsible for protecting potentially vulnerable children, establishing plans for their long-term safety and care.

Responsibilities:

1. Deliver a high standard social work services to children, young people and their families.

2. Identify children who are potentially at risk and conduct risk assessments.

3. Develop and implement care plans that ensure children’s safety and well-being.

4. Advocate for child welfare and act as a liaison between children, families, and relevant agencies.

5. Participate and present reports in case conferences, court proceedings, and other meetings.

6. Manage complex caseloads including assessment and management of risks.

7. Prepare reports and maintain up-to-date case records.

8. Provide guidance and support to families and children in difficult situations.

9. Actively participate in regular supervision and training opportunities for professional development.

10. Follow legal protocols, local and national policy, and practice guidelines.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) or equivalent.

2. Registered with the Social Work England.

3. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and families in a similar role.

4. Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection law.

5. Ability to manage high-stress situations and make critical decisions.

6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of a team and independently.

8. Possession of a driver’s license and willingness to travel for the job.
