Community Support Worker

Seven Social Care are currently looking for several Community Support Workers to start work in Wilmslow, Cheshire. This is an interim post, initially for 6 months with the view of extending.

To attend, as part of the caring team, to the personal (e.g. social, emotional, physical. intellectual) needs of the service users, in line with the individual service user’s care programme enabling them, wherever possible, to live independently in their own homes by carrying out tasks they are unable to do for themselves.

Responsibilities:

Attend to the personal needs of service users and undertake scheduled checks in line with agreed care programmes. Encouraging service users, where possible, to undertake these physical tasks for themselves, e.g. dressing, washing, feeding service users and administering non-invasive medication.

Contribute to the assessment of service users by carrying out assessment tasks and by maintaining and updating records as required.

Contribute to discussions on Individual Care Programmes for service users, and being a key worker when required

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: Experience of working independently, and as a member of a team

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent

Compliance: Current enhanced DBS, right to work in the UK.

Hours : 37 hours per week, working between Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 7am and 10pm

Travel: Full UK driving license with access to your own car (desirable)
