Community Support Worker (Adult Residential Care Setting)

Seven Resourcing are looking for a Community Support Worker to work Night Shifts in Derbyshire County Council. This is a full time role, 37 hours, paying £13.67 p/h. 

Duties are supporting individual clients with learning disability/autism who live in their own homes. Personal Care, meal preparation, medication administration, activities and outings (car drivers are preferred as one client has own car), shift patterns are 24 hour, 7 days a week. Shifts are 07:45 – 15:00 and 14:45 – 23:00 then sleep in at client’s home in staff sleep-in room and early morning cover 07:00 – 08:00. Double shifts can be taken.

Community Support Workers will provide a community based supported living service for an identified group of people with learning disabilities. This is an essentially “hands on” service, co-ordinated with input from other professionals and agencies working in close collaboration with community support workers. The role requires the provision of support/care programmes for individuals to live in the community, with as much independence as possible; this involves making provision across a seven day period, during the day-time and evenings when appropriate and includes sleep-ins.

The service will seek to provide support in five main areas:

1.    Self-care and the tasks of daily living generally.

2.    Work or purposeful and valued activity.

3.    Leisure, social contact and personal relationships.

4.    Housing.

5.    Support to carers.
