Contracts and Commissioning Officer

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Contracts and Commissioning Officer to work in Morpeth, Northumberland. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and the hiring manager is willing to consider someone working either part-time or full-time hours. The hourly rate is £16.12 (PAYE) or £19.02 (umbrella) per hour. 

The role:

We are looking to recruit a high performer to join the busy Contracting team, which is responsible for arranging, monitoring and reviewing the contracting arrangements for provision of social care and health services in Northumberland.

You will work with key partners, including Providers, Care Management, Safeguarding, Care Quality Commission, Health Commissioners and Healthwatch, to promote good quality service provision and ensure quality compliance. The ability to build effective working relationships quickly is essential to this role.

You will have experience in the field of contracting, contract monitoring and/or service review, a working knowledge of safeguarding and be able to gather, analyse and present complex data and information from a range of sources to a varied audience. You will have an ability to prioritise your own work, taking into account both team and organisational requirements and be able to negotiate and resolve complex problems. In addition the ability to manage change well is a necessity.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

      NVQ in Health and Social Care (desirable and not essential). 

Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 

Compliance: Proof of right to work in the UK and 2 x references. 

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours:  Part-time or full-time hours will be considered.
