Contracts Manager – Environment and Transport

Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary Drivers (Passenger fleet)  to work within Leicestershire.

Initial 3 month contract as you’re covering a vacancy.

£11.17 per hour 

Hybrid working.

Temp – perm opportunities are possible but not 100% guaranteed. You would need to re-apply however if you’re already in the service then you have a better chance of being successful.

 

Job Description: We are currently seeking a Contracts Manager to join our team in Leicestershire, specifically focusing on the Environment and Transport sector. As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing contracts related to environmental and transportation projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of our local environment and transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer contracts related to environment and transport projects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Monitor contract performance, including quality, cost, and timeliness, and take appropriate actions to address any issues that arise.
  • Conduct contract negotiations, resolve disputes, and manage any necessary changes or amendments to contracts.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on contract-related matters, including contract interpretation and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to contracts, including contract variations, correspondence, and contract closeouts.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to environment and transportation contracts.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in contract management, preferably in the environment and transport sector.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration, including contract negotiation, interpretation, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to analyse contract terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and tools for contract management.
  • A degree in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
