Court Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seven Social Care are looking for an experienced Court Supervisor for Hackney Council. This is a temporary contract initially, 3 days per week.

The role:

Direct work with Clinical Court work ie. providing court ordered clinical assessments, an experienced clinician able to manage a complex caseload is needed for this role. The Court Clinical Practitioner post (Court Clinic) sits within the Hackney Children and Families Clinical Service; which is an integrated psychological therapies multidisciplinary team serving a range of Children and Families services.

This includes: Hackney Children’s Social Care, Young Hackney, the Youth Offending Service and the Family Support Service.

Key Responsibilities:

• These roles are an opportunity to collaboratively support the pilot and development of a multi-disciplinary expert assessment clinic where young people and their families are subject to Public Law Outline and pre-proceedings
• Providing clinical oversight and leadership to a small team of multi-disciplinary practitioners (2-4) focusing on coordinating an expert psychological assessment of parents and/or children within the timescales provided by the courts.
• Liasing with social workers and/or the local authority legal service to develop appropriate letters of instruction (LOIs), coordinate and deliver an expert assessment, and lead on developing holistic formulations and recommendations which are written for the courts which take into account the needs of young people and their families.

• Experience: Experience in a supervisory role is essential
