Customer Service advisor (Handling customer contacts Adults and Children’s social care)

Seven Social Care is looking for a Customer Service advisor (Handling customer contacts Adults and Children’s social care) at Shropshire.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will provide a first class customer focussed service to all customers by:

Providing first line customer contact and, where possible, first contact resolution of service and information requests

Achieving high customer service quality, and acting as an advocate for the Council

The post holder will be responsible to the Customer Service Centre manager who is in turn responsible for the post holder’s health and safety, training and development.

Main Duties

The post holder will be responsible and accountable for:

Handling high value preventative customer contacts through a variety of channels that relate to Adult and Children’s social care enquiries.

Calls received at First Point of Contact include concerns raised over vulnerable adults and children. Callers may display a range of emotions and call content may be highly sensitive and may include descriptions that are distressing for the adviser to handle.

Receive telephone calls or other contact from members of the public or professionals. Using your own initiative and skills via guided but unscripted conversations and in particular using listening and analytical skills, accurately gather, verify and assess facts and search appropriate databases to determine the most appropriate pathway.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

      Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.

Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
