Delivery Driver

Seven Resourcing is looking for a Delivery Driver to fill an exclusive opportunity with Newcastle City Council working within the Newcastle Furniture Service. 

The pay rate for this full time position is £13.30 per hour via Umbrella.

The role:

To work as part of a team to deliver a range of furniture and white goods to people’s homes in a timely and responsive manner, dealing with a diverse range of clients and undertake manual handling.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible to the Operational Team Leader, and your role will be to ensure customers receive a high level of customer service upon delivery or collection of their goods.

Maintaining an accurate stock inventory on the vehicle is required.

Deliveries will need to be completed accurately using electronic stock systems and the vehicle will need to be maintained by completing daily checks.

You will be unpacking goods and connecting appliances where necessary, and you will work within the EU driver hours regulations and UK domestic hours rules.

Applicant Requirements:

• Experience: 
• Previous experience in a similar Driving/Delivery role. Experience of working in a customer facing environment. Knowledge or relevant health and safety procedures.
• Compliance: 
• Hold a full, clean Category C+E licence (or hold a category C and be prepared to work towards category E). 
• Hold a current digital tachograph card.
• Hold a CPC card and work within the driver’s hours and working time regulations. 
• Travel: 
• The ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 
• 37.5 hours p/w.
