Direct Payments Officer

Seven Social Care is looking for a Direct Payments Officer at London Borough of Hillingdon paying  £22.01

The role:

Maternity cover for up to 6-12 months.

As a Direct Payments Officer, you will be working alongside our wider Social Care teams.

You will be responsible for promoting the use of Direct payment as a solution to having a care package to meet their assessed needs.

You will be critical in advising and supporting residents and staff across Children and Adult services in the process and management of Direct Payments. You will be responsible for,

– To support residents to access and implement care and support within their Personal Budget to maximise their independence, meet their identified outcomes and promote their wellbeing.

– To calculate the direct payment for direct payments receipt and liaise with the social care teams to gain authorisation for the funds.

– To provide information, advice and support to residents regarding all aspects of direct payments, including their responsibilities and their financial obligations. – Administration and monitoring of individuals Direct Payments to ensure residents have the required funds and use these appropriately to purchase their assessed care and support needs.

– Reconcile Direct Payments accounts and reclaim any unspent funds.

– To undertake payment run on a 4 weekly basis Your role will include in person or virtual visits to direct payments recipients’ homes to inform them of the direct payments service including providing advice and guidance.

For this role Hybrid is available following the probation period with up to 3 days in the workplace and 2 or 3 days at home.
