Disrepair surveyor

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Disrepair Surveyor to work in Basildon Borough Council .

This position pays £30 – £40 per hour.

The role:

As a Disrepair Surveyor, you will play a critical role in assessing and addressing property-related issues, ensuring the safety, habitability, and compliance of residential or commercial premises. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections, preparing detailed reports, and providing expert guidance on property maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed inspections of properties to identify disrepair, defects, and maintenance issues.
• Utilize technical knowledge to assess the root causes of disrepair, identifying structural, environmental, or maintenance-related issues.
• Stay abreast of relevant housing legislation, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the findings of property inspections.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients, explaining technical details in a clear and accessible manner.
• Estimate the costs associated with necessary repairs and maintenance work.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications:qualifications in a relevant field.
• Experience: 2 years’ experience
• Compliance: 3 years references.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37 hours p/w.
