Early Help Advice Officer

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Early Help Advice Officer to work within Sunderland Council. This is a full time position, and we are paying £18.70 per hour for this role. 

 

The role:

Provide support to the Early Help Advice and Allocations Team to ensure that effective early help support is allocated in a timely fashion to children, young people and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take telephone and e-mail queries about early help, providing advice or signposting callers to the most appropriate officer for a response.
  • Monitor the Early Help Advice and Allocations Team (EHAAT) e-mail inbox and ensure a response to all queries.
  • Work as part of a team with the Supporting Families Co-ordinator, the Early Help Senior Practitioners (Family Centres) and the Families Information Service staff to ensure that all roles are covered during periods of absence or illness.
  • Comply with the principles and requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in relation to the management of Together for Children Sunderland’s records and information and respect the privacy of personal information held by Together for Children Sunderland.
  • Comply with the principles and requirements of the Freedom in Information Act 2000.
  • Comply with the Together for Children Sunderland’s and the NHS ICB information security standards, and requirements for the management and handling of information. Undertake the duties of the post in accordance with the Company’s Equal Opportunities Policy, Health and Safety Policy and legislative requirements and all other Company policies.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.

    Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience

  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
