Early Help Case Manager

Seven Social Care is working with Nottinghamshire County Council to recruit for Early Help Case Managers in their children’s services.

£25ph Umbrella

Initial 3 month contract

Working address: 3 different offices depending which area they are covering

West – Lawn View House, Station Road, Sutton in Ashfield

South – Home Brewery Building, Sir John Robinson Way, Arnold

North – Thorsby House, Sherwood Energy Village, Ollerton

Job Purpose:

To act as the Lead Professional for complex cases referred to Targeted Support

where there are identified safeguarding concerns but do not meet the threshold

for statutory intervention by Children’s Social Care. The role is non-statutory

focusing solely on cases meeting the Thresholds for Early Help Services.

Duties:

To work to achieve the specific aims and objectives of the Targeted Support and

Youth Justice Service’s business plan.

To work with a caseload of children and young people from 8 to 18 who meet the

thresholds for Early Help Services where there are identified safeguarding

concerns that do not meet the thresholds for statutory intervention from

Children’s Social Care.

To undertake timely and accurate assessments and intervention planning using

the family CAF assessment.

To work collaboratively with a range of partner organisations to assess, plan,

supervise and intervene with vulnerable service users and their families.

To keep up to date case notes on the Service’s database ensuring that all

relevant records and documents are managed in accordance with policy and

guidance.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications:

      Formal relevant professional qualification (CQSQ, CSS, Dip SW) Level 3/4 NVQ Qualification

Evidence of relevant professional development

Experience: Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience of working with vulnerable

children and young people in a local authority youth justice / social work context.

Experience in a children’s or young people’s service area

Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37 hours p/w.
