Early Help Officer

Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Early Help Officer to work within the  Children & Family services for Nottinghamshire Council. This is a full time position of 37 hours a week, and we are paying £25 per hour for this role. 

 

The role:

The key purpose of this role is to provide a customer focused service for other professionals, children, young people and families wanting to access Early Help Services in Nottinghamshire.  In addition, provide triage assessment s to determine the appropriate level of service.

Key Responsibilities:

      To provide professional advice and information on the referral routes into Early Help Services across Nottinghamshire along with information on the services they provide.

To provide support and advice on early help processes including the Early Help Assessment Framework (EHAF) for other professionals including the MASH.

To scrutinise referrals for Early Help Service to ensure thresholds are met in line with Pathway to Provision, including providing a triage assessment to identify the most appropriate service for the child, young person and their family to meet their needs, whether from across all Nottinghamshire Children’s Services or elsewhere.

To provide advice on the Early Help Assessment Framework (EHAF); to undertake quality assurance audits and to provide feedback to practitioners and their line managers.

To delivery training, presentations and support sessions to staff at all levels across the partnership in Nottinghamshire on early help processes including the EHAF.

To provide information packages to the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to support the effective decision-making processes within the MASH.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Need Moving and Handling Training. 

    Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience

  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
