Electrical Engineer

Seven Social Care is looking for an Electrical Engineer to work with Vale of Glamorgan. 

£31.27 per hour

To conduct EICR’s to Council properties within the Vale and to install heat and CO detectors to ensure compliance with housing requirements.

To carry out effective customer focused housing options interviews gathering and accurately recording all relevant information in respect of customers circumstances in order to effectively meet housing need.
To interview and advise effectively persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness so that wherever possible homelessness is prevented and housing needs are adequately met. 

Main Duties:

• To prevent homelessness and solve housing problems by effective intervention and housing advice.
• To provide realistic information to customers regarding eligibility for housing assistance from the Council and regarding alternative housing solutions.
• To carry out assessments and ensure compliance with the duties placed on the Council under the requirements of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
• To deal with enquiries from Housing Register applicants and to give advice about rehousing prospects and alternative housing options.
• To assist applicants to make an online application to the Common Housing Register.
