Electrician

Seven Resourcing are looking for an Electrician to work on an interim basis with Bristol City Council for an initial period of 6 months.

Work based around BS4 3EZ

37 Hours Per Week

£19.35 Per Hour (PAYE) or £24.11 Per Hour (Umbrella)

The Job-

To act individually or as part of a team, assess and carry out appropriate electrical installations, repairs, testing and maintenance to properties covered by the housing revenue account (HRA) in a safe and cost-effective manner. Working across response repairs, planned programmes and void property teams, also including working in our laundry repairs and maintenance department.

Assess, plan, and carry out assigned work on behalf of Bristol City Council projects as instructed, including all tasks relating to the maintenance of properties owned by the council in respect of main trade duties and other trade works as required, and the delivery and collection of materials, plant, and tools.

Carry out electrical testing duties to conform with BS7671 and complete relevant paperwork accurately electronically or otherwise.

To operate items of machinery, light plant, powered tools, equipment, and transport safely and effectively as required including driving duties, associated with the service.

Communicate with tenants, colleagues, and management to ensure understanding of both works involved, issues arising, and time periods required for successful completion.

Maintain tools, plant and vehicles in a condition that allows effective safe use and complies with any legislative requirements, reporting defects to the appropriate section.

Applicant Requirements-

City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations or equivalent – ESSENTIAL

City and Guilds 2382-2 (18 th Edition wiring regulations) – ESSENTIAL

Completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent – ESSENTIAL.

Up to date health and safety knowledge for electricians. Ability to recognise and deal with hazardous situations/materials.

Full driving licence valid for use in UK.

Ability to complete required electrical testing duties including EICRs, EICs and able complete NICEIC paperwork to BS7671 standards.
