Environmental Health Officer

Seven Social Care is looking for an Enviromental Health Officer to work with Pembrokeshire Council. An Environmental Health Officer is required to carry out combined food hygiene and standards inspections.

Must be registered with the Environmental Health Registration Board
Must be competent in both food hygiene and food standards inspections with relevant experience in both.

Responsibilities: 

• Undertake proactive food safety and standards inspections, in accordance with agreed priorities and programmes of work, with published Codes of Practice and Practice Guidance, and established policies and procedures.
• Undertake inspections of ‘approved’ premises, pursuant to the approval process and thereafter to ensure that applicable conditions are met.
• Take food samples for microbiological examination or analysis, as required, as part of planned sampling programmes and on a targeted basis in support of investigations, adhering to processes set out in published Codes of Practice and Practice Guidance, and established policies and procedures, to ensure that samples are correctly obtained, handled and submitted for investigation.
