Epidemiologist/Senior Data Analyst

Seven Social Care is looking for a Epidemiologist/Senior Data Analyst at Staffordshire County Council.

The role:

The person undertaking the work will require the following skills:

 

      In depth understanding of different epidemiological statistics and methods and their application.

Designing, developing, and deploying Power BI dashboards.

Using Power BI Report Server to deploy Power BI dashboards.

Creating Power BI dashboards that can be automatically refreshed.

Using APIs to access data in Power BI.

Experience of analysing, providing and receiving complex, sensitive or contentious information.

Experience of analysing and presenting complex information to large and influential groups.

Experience in a technical or professional role.

Knowledge of leading teams to deliver research, develop and implement policy, or establish and embed effective performance management arrangements.

Experience of working with multi-agency teams to understand, challenge and refine their requirements and put in place appropriate resources to support their strategic delivery.

Experience of training and coaching staff to develop their knowledge and skills in the use of Power BI.

Experience of working with partners to deliver multi-agency projects.

Experience of managing multiple work streams.

Robust knowledge of the legislation and guidance regarding the collection, management, handling and sharing of data and information.

Analysing complex documents and assisting others in understanding complex issues. 

Interpreting and communicating national, regional and local data appropriate to the local context.

By providing more granular analysis the updated JSNA will enable organisations to identify inequalities in different population sub-groups and geographies. 

It will also present data from multiple organisations on a single platform, so there is a wider understanding of how different inequalities impact on the local population.  It will be a more flexible approach to developing the JSNA by starting with one area and building up chapters and sections overtime.

There is a requirement that the updated JSNA will be ready by the end of December 2023.
