Family Support Worker

Seven Social Care is looking for a Family Support Worker to fill an exclusive opportunity in Worcester .

The role:

As a Family Support Worker, you will provide a direct service to children, young people and their carers reflecting their needs and practice/focus of the respective Social Work Team. You will provide direct support, guidance, and interventions in consultation with Social Workers/Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support, advice, and information to children, young people, and their families, including the provision of practical assistance.

Assist Social Work Qualified Practitioners in the undertaking of their duties relating to all forms of social care interventions as appropriate.

Lead supervisions and record observations of contact between looked after children and their families.

Promote good parenting and provide parents and careers with support and information in relation to parenting and the development of children and young people.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: NVQ Level 4 in Childcare or equivalent.

Experience: 1+ years working in childcare settings.

Compliance: Up to date DBS.

Hours: 37 hours p/w.

Pay:  £18.82 p/h
