Family Support Worker

Seven Social Care are currently looking for a Family Support Worker to start work in Knowsley. This is an interim post, initially for 3 months with the view to extending.  

You will work as a member of the Cared for Children and Young People’s Teams.

The post-holder will contribute to assessment, planning and intervention for families as set out by a Social Worker and will work in partnership with Special Guardians, foster carers, parents, and children by providing assessments, support, advice and training as recommended by Children’s Social Care and or the Court.

Responsibilities:

Build up a good relationship with the children and young people and their families

Work alongside the team and supporting one another in order to deliver the best care for the children and young people

Working with other health and care professionals

Providing care which focuses on the needs of the individual but also promotes independence

Creating a safe and positive living environment

Supporting the children and young people with their day to day activities

In a safe and supportive setting, provide leisure and creative activities

Applicant Requirements:

Experience: 1 year experience in a similar role

Qualifications: To hold or be willing to work towards achieving a minimum of level 3 NVQ / QCF related to working with children

Compliance: Current enhanced DBS, right to work in the UK.

Hours : 36 hours a week

Travel: To hold a driving license with relevant insurance and have access to a car for daily use
